President Named to NJ Higher Education Task Force
Group to Examine Key Issues Facing NJ Colleges & Universities
TRENTON, NJ(May 7, 2010) —Thomas Edison State College President George A. Pruitt was named today as a member of a new task force formed by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to examine the key issues and impediments facing New Jersey’s institutions of higher education and make recommendations on those issues to the governor.
The task force will be chaired by former New Jersey Governor Thomas H. Kean. In addition to Dr. Pruitt, the task force includes John McGoldrick, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Association of State Colleges and Universities, and Peggi Howard, vice president of Administration and University Relations at Drew University. Additional members may be named at a later date.
