Applications for the 2012 Award Year will be accepted beginning June 1, 2012.
The Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation established a scholarship for students with spinal cord injures in 2007 with a $10,000 donation to the Thomas Edison State College Foundation. This scholarship and all funds is directed and intended for students enrolled at Thomas Edison State College with spinal cord injuries resulting in paralysis.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Have applied and been accepted for admission at Thomas Edison State College at the time of application
- Have applied for financial aid (Federal, State (NJ residents only), and Thomas Edison State College)
- Funds received must be applied to tuition and fees toward any credit-earning option offered at Thomas Edison State College
- Required documentation to verify specific health conditions required by the Sam Schmidt Scholarship must be provided before the end of the application period
