BSAST in Respiratory Care
The Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and Technology (BSAST) degree in Respiratory Care is limited to registered respiratory therapists possessing the required certification: NBRC RRT Registered Respiratory Therapist. Students must present a copy of the original certificate and current renewal card. Required courses include Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Cardiopulmonary Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Pulmonary Function, Pharmacology, Respiratory Techniques (three courses), Pediatric Respiratory Care and Clinical Practice. Corollary Requirements are Chemistry I and II, Physics I and Computer Concepts. The degree is a 120-credit program.
